Foxbury is the first 3mm scale layout I have built that has reached an exhibitable state and has been on the exhibition circuit now for over 6 years.  It is imagined to be the terminus of a branch off the Cheltenham to Kingham line and is set in the mid to late 1950's, a time when many such lines were in decline.  The layout was conceived as a rapid way of getting something running as by 1993 when it was first started, I had been a member of the 3mm society for 18 years.  It was high time something was done!
My main modelling interests are buildings, scenery and wagons.  All the buildings on the layout (with the exception of the brewery) are based on actual prototypes located along the Kingham line and are all scratch-built.  They are made from card with the brickwork either from brickpaper or 3mm society embossed plastic sheet.  The wagons are nearly all kit-built with a few being built from scratch and running on Parkside underframes. The 3mm society markets a huge range of kits for wagons, coaches and locomotives, not to mention road vehicles and a vast array of components.  Have a look at the links page on my site and see for yourself what's on offer in 3mm scale.
The layout is still very enjoyable to operate and provides a much needed break from the rigours of the 21st century.
More pictures of Foxbury can be seen on the the 3mm society website.

Foxbury is being given a rest from the exhibition circuit whilst I concentrate on building a new layout.  It will return however, with all track relaid to a finer standard and various other improvements.
